Month 7 – STILL NO TEETH, but she’s definitely smiling a lot more. First time she’s been super sick (enough that she had to sleep sitting up for a few nights). Met my mom’s group for the first time, and got to go out without the kid (these ladies have been awesome!). First sign “Milk” (although she responded when we said “baba”)

Month 8 – I have started to think that Yuki is going to go through life gumming everything. She started pulling herself up into a standing position… but had no interest in crawling. Introduced more foods… cheerios (loved them), broccoli (only ate them when smothered with cheese), bananas with yogurt (loved it!). She was not too sure about her first time on a swing. She loved cruising around in her walker. Discovered that she hates grass.

Month 9 – Still no teeth. Still not interested in crawling, but she LOVED to cruise around the living room (whilst hanging on to furniture, or her little activity table). Loved to sleep in odd positions.

Month 10 – We FINALLY have TEETH (two bottom teeth, followed by two top teeth, followed by two more top teeth). Crawled for about 2 weeks in the beginning of month 10, then decided that walking was faster. She started to get over her dislike of grass. Celebrated her first Halloween (and subsequently, my first trip to a pumpkin patch.). She had a Snow White costume for the day, and a Raccoon costume for the evening (and a cold) Got some pictures done with Alicia at A+C Photography , and I’m still pretty fat at this point.

Month 11 – Celebrated Thanksgiving with the family in San Diego. Yuki got to practice her walking through the sweet house that Larry rented for us to stay in. Attended her first birthday party (with Anjali & Shaili), visited the Fullerton Arboretum, went on her first trip to the beach (Coronad0), and the San Diego Zoo.

Month 12 – Happy Birthday to my little munchkin!  Celebrated her first birthday with a Snow theme (blue & silver!). I made her a crown, and we ordered a smash cake and cupcakes from Simply Sweet Cakery. She didn’t really smash her cake, but she sure loved the mini cupcake I gave her later. Celebrated her second Christmas (the first one where she’s NOT sleeping!). Received her first tablet (which broke on day 2, so we got her a new one). Introduced her to the deliciousness that is Pocky.
