Month 1 – lots of making cute faces, sleeping, eating, and pooping.
Month 2 – a lot like Month 1, but with the occasional smile. Started sleeping through the night (hallelujiah!). We figured out that she had a sensitive butt, so had to switch her to sensitive diapers…. so freaking expensive. Thank goodness for Amazon and Triple Paste.
Month 3 – first trip AND second trip to Vegas. First trip was for Great Grandpa’s funeral, and the second trip was to meet Aunt Laurie & Larry & Dorothy. It was during the second trip that we noticed that she had the beginnings of a Friar Tuck hairstyle due to always sleeping on her right side. At this point, she still hated tummy time, and would protest by rolling over.
Month 4 – Not sleeping as much, her personality is starting to show. Still hated tummy time, but was pretty insistent on sitting up by herself (with the help of her boppy). Was able to hold her own bottle at this point. First word is “Mama”, followed by “Baba” (aka milk).
Month 5 – I kept thinking that she’ll have a tooth coming in from all the fuss, but no sign of them yet! Celebrated my first Mother’s Day, and her first trip to Disneyland (not on the same day.)
Month 6 – STILL NO TEETH! We did start solids (first food was Avocado… she HATED it). Also the first time she actually fit in the excersaucer. Tried to give her mushed bananas… it was a no go. Gave her small pieces of banana… winner! (The eating trend of no mushed up food continued until she turned 14 months.)Â
